Hi, I'm Claire.
With nearly 20 years of teaching experience in inner London primary schools, I have had the privilege of serving as a SENDCO and Deputy Headteacher. My passion for understanding and supporting children with literacy difficulties led me to train as a Specialist Dyslexia Assessor. In 2020, my family and I moved from central London to Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, where we now enjoy a more suburban life together! I am committed to helping students and families navigate educational challenges with empathy and expertise.
I believe every child deserves to feel supported, understood, and confident in their learning. My assessments are calm, child-centred, and holistic, ensuring a positive experience.
I am a professionally qualified Speciliast Dyslexia Assessor, fully trained to assess and diagnose dyslexia. My assessments and reports adhere to the latest SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) guidance, ensuring accuracy and best practice.
I stay up to date with the latest developments in the field and hold the following qualifications and memberships:
✔ Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons)
✔ Qualified Teacher Status
✔ Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs Coordination
✔ Level 5 Certificate in Dyslexia; Literacy, Support and Intervention
✔ Level 7 SpLD Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia, Specific Learning Diffierences and Barriers to Literacy
✔ SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate (APC)
✔ Membership of PATOSS (Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties)
I also hold a full, current DBS check and Professional Indemnity Insurance for your peace of mind.
